Looking back on these pages there’s so much art to me that’s “old” now and so clearly has poor compositon and positioning, but it’s important to keep my focus moving forward and to not dwell on it so much. It’s the double edged sword of having a bountiful backlog of pages ready, these flaws really do stand out so much more to me. And it is something nice about gratuitous violence, it doesn’t have to look that “””good””, it just needs to look cool, and to that i guess i can say i feel satisfied.

i’ve been paying special attention recently to the pacing in between page and panels and adding splash pages where a bit of a breather can be used, including the last page here. i was feeling particularily inspired by Koike Keiichi for this one and was trying to capture a similar feel to what his pages accomplish. It’s not perfect to me, but i can say i’m happy with it, and that’s something.

i’ve been feeling really in the zone doing these kinds of pages though, so hopefully that’s a good indicator for the momentum i’ll be maintaining in the future. i have a lot to catch up on!!

3rd Generation Angels are those who are conceived by at least one 2nd Gen parent (provided the other parent is not 1st Gen). There is no way for a 3rd Gen to be immortal, though they are still ageless & able to recover from traumatic injuries that would be fatal to the average human.
4th Generation angels are those whose parents are both 3rd Gen. They have the same qualities as 3rd Gen angels except they are sterile and unable to reproduce.
