June 2022 – Intermission: Eisheth

This is the first of a number of in-world articles i’m fabricating by a perverted, lesser demon journalist named Callum of Titivillus (Titivillus being the patron devil of grammatical errors), who writes for the porno mag Second Circle. i did some experimenting with this format and it wasn’t totally sucessful but it was nonetheless educational. Since i wanted a found media look i typed up the piece and then printed it out and clipped the text together physically to the pages then scanned them back in. i was hoping it would do more for the text buuut i still ended up doing most of the selling points in post and i really don’t feel like the text has that reproduced on a scanner feel, rather it looks even more edited in with a computer than if i actually just did the easy thing and added the text in with a computer. It was a neat experiment, but especially with the photshop eraser lines where theshadows of the clippings had been, and the general materials/labor involved i don’t think i’ll be coming back to it. i’ll most likely revise the layout to 100% digitally formated if and when this goes to print, however for now it does the job.

Eisheth often gets dropped from the conversation of demonic consorts, usually folks are more fascinated by Lilith, Namaah, and Agrat bat Mahlat; there just really isn’t much out there about Eisheth. He is, however, THE Angel of Prostitution, which gave me an antiquated perception of him, an OG of the practice, if you will. From there i drew inspiration from the pioneer women of the wild west whose entrepreneurship gave birth to economic hubs which eventually grew into towns from the saloons and bordellos they opened. This gave me a picture of Eisheth as a career-minded personality, pushing to always be adapting and progressing towards the future.

If you have a keen eye you may have noticed the first two poses for Eisheth are borrowed from Sweet Gwendoline (which i’d already referenced last blog post too, haha whoops); and the final illustration i used a polaroid from off the set of Bladerunner for reference.

i’m planning to sprinkle in these articles sporadically when there’s appropriate shifts in the story, so it may be a few months before i release the feature on Namaah, but i already have some pretty solid plans for what i want to do with his character. The next update will be a regular chapter, continuing the story of Bad Angels as you already know it.

i’ll see you then, in the meantime as always thx for reading XX
